Would all true Christians like to participate in an experiment and test these things?

17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.';Would all true Christians like to participate in an experiment and test these things?
Having just read the passage in full context, I am beginning to think that it was only the disciples to whom Jesus was speaking, not to all future members of the Church. Keep in mind that in the same chapter, it says that many of the disciples themselves didn't believe that Jesus rose from the dead (Verse 14).

There exist Christian cults that believe they can survive poisons and snakes - often with deadly results. It could be that they have critically misinterpreted this passage.Would all true Christians like to participate in an experiment and test these things?
Those things ARE guaranteed to all Christians. We must only have the faith of the mustard seed and we can do those things. The problem is that in the Bible it says not to try to make God prove Himself. So don't go around doing that stuff just to see if you can-- God will allow you to do it all safely if you are doing it for His glory and for a purpose that He wants. If you're just trying to see if it really works for your own entertainment then it's not happening and i'll send you flowers in the hospital.

the book of acts is not a doctrain book it is of historical accounts and should not be use as doctrain.
I thought there were Pentecostal congregations that do those things all the time.
Those things aren't guaranteed to all Christians, so no.
