The Philadelphia Experiment 1943..True or False? If so what advances?

Allegedly, in the fall of 1943 a U.S. Navy destroyer was made invisible and teleported from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Norfolk, Virginia, in an incident known as the Philadelphia Experiment.

Ok Consider this story true.

If it is true, what kind of advances do you think the government has made behind the scenes in the past 60 years in that field of technology? The Philadelphia Experiment 1943..True or False? If so what advances?
As a tried and true Science Fiction, I like What Ifs as much as the next person. I think it is important to keep it all in perspective. We did indeed put a man on the moon, but we have yet to find a way to teleport anything.

To answer your question, a discover of that magnitude could never be kept secret. The money to be made from such a technology would guarantee someone would either leak the secret or steal it.The Philadelphia Experiment 1943..True or False? If so what advances?
I believe it to be true.

And the advances in magnetism over the last 60years has been enormous.

Think about this scenario.

What happens to atoms when they are shot through a vaccuum whilst inside a magnet.

A giant cylactron underground with a high tesla magnet.....

.....endless possibitilies.
