A friend of mine told me to do an experiment...
She claims that, if you stare hard for a long time to random people walking in the street (without them seeing you), they will eventually start having the feeling that someone is watching at them and start looking around, becoming paranoid.
I tried the experiment, and turns out that it seems to work! Most of the time the person in question became completely freaked out and started looking around after less than one minute that I stared at them.
Try the experiment yourself, you'll see that it seems to work. Why do you think this happens? Do you believe it's all simple coincidence, the power of our own suggestion, or do we humans have some sort of weird paranoid sixth sense that warns us when someone is watching us?
In any case, it's pretty strange. Try it, you won't be dissapointed!Interesting experiment.... True psychic power or just the power of our own suggestion?
I believe that we are all made up of energy ...... we emit energy all the time and sometimes we pick up on others energy....... it like walking into a room that an argument or fight took place in before you got there.... you feel the tension in the room .. literally ....you feel the energy that people emit ......we are all in a sense animals too ...... and like animals we are equipped with the ability to sense danger ....... someone staring at us even at a distance would be a red flag ........so we subconsciously pick it up .......Interesting experiment.... True psychic power or just the power of our own suggestion?
well, yes i've tried that before.. it even happens to me.. when sb is staring.. i know from my back that sb is %26amp; turn my head to see who's this is.. u can't call it to be a parannoid... cause it happens to nrealy all people.. it may be a protective reflex from our body we don't yet know about.. mebay by staring to the person,, u get involved with his media %26amp; so he/she feels u !!
Sniper Wolf...
are you a metal gear fan???
when you stare at somebody you are sending a piece of your energy towards them they can feel it on some level even if they refuse to accept it...that's why they get freaked out.
I don't know how it works, but I imagine it is linked to survival; in both pre-history and now. It may help to alert you that a possible enemy is present.
If that works then how come you are not looking around for me?
I have a sixth sense, and while it's not as strong as some people's, and I can't make it work at will, it is there. And, yes, I have tried the staring-at-strangers thing. It had mixed results, maybe cause I played a lot of it waiting for green lights in traffic. :)
Hi Friend,
I have tried this and it often works! In my openion, it is something to do with the energy fields around us. Scientifically, it is called as 'Aura'. This energy field can register our emotions in colour. The proof is a huge tunnel in Disney Land made of vaccuumised glass tube (wound around like a huge spring) filled with some inert gas and charged by hi-frequency hi-voltage electric charge(something like neon sign tube). Whole of this arrangement works on the principle of 'Kerlien Photography'. Walking through this tunnel makes beatiful flashing of colours around you in the glass tube wall of the tunnel, depending on your moods!
As our material body interacts physically by means of our five senses, logically, this energy fields also must be some how able to interact through some channels, aptly called by many as sixth sense. This additional sense might be able to do this interaction in any direction as it is an energy field. Generally it is our eyes, ear etc. (belonging to the five sense group) being very directional, gives us the notion that we must confront the person right in front (line of sight) to interact.
As an off shoot, I also believe that it is this energy field around us which gets beautified when we do practices like meditation, which in turn generates a positive and friendly response from strangers. May be when some one say he could see a friendly and commanding glow in some noble soul's (a Bishop, Guru, Rishi etc) eyes, he may be referring to the same stuff.
So keep an open mind; luckily at present the world is more receptive to these things and science has started its probe on these areas with a renewed interest. We will wait and watch for some of the profound discoveriesand revelations in this interesting area of sixth sense.
Note: Some terms I intentionally mentioned to arouse and kindle your interest in this area. If inclined, with the help of an Internet search engine, you may surf around and amass such a staggering amount of iformation during your free time.
I do this often while driving. I will pick someone walking on the street who I can only see from the back, and I wil look at them. There could be a crowd, but only the person I am looking at will turn to see, and usually they do turn and look.
This is my opinion:
when you look at something, your attention/will focuses on the object, PUSHES, touches its limits...and when you focus your attention on living objects, their ';will'; senses the pressure you're creating on them, as you were ';touching'; them, making them hitch...have you ever tried to stare hard to someone who's sleeping? Sometimes you can even wake him/her up without saying a word! It's Will, and we're all connected...
Cheers
we're afraid that someone is watching us. sometimes it's true sometimes it's not. some say you can tell the difference between the two. the feeling is more distinct and strong when someone really is watching you. if not it's just a slight feeling. however, some believe that we're always being watched. either by real people or by lost spirits who haven't crossed over onto the other plane. to answer the last question yes some do have s sixth sense. it's called our instinct. we notice it because of the possible threat of being followed or watched. it's just instinct.
It happens because all people aware of it or not have the innate ability to fell there surroundings so when someone stares at you you can feel it. Its an ancient defense mechanism.
Hmm.. good question, I have tried that before and sometimes I think it might be a sixth sense because you get this strange feeling. Other times though people can see you out of the corner of their eyes. So, really I kinda think it is both.
I reckon it's down to peripheral vision and sixth sense. It might not be that useful now but in hunting times we'd need to be able to see everything, even the things we couldn't see fully.
